In Daredevil S1E7, Matt Murdock’s former mentor, Stick, returns to Hell’s Kitchen after abandoning Matt 20 years before. They sing Kumbaya around a fire & discuss their feelings. Just kidding. Stick manipulates Matt into pursuing his own agenda, which involves the only man Wilson Fisk fears – or so Stick claims. Against Matt’s wishes, Stick kills a special child. This leads to an epic fight in which the two destroy Matt’s apartment & Matt orders Stick out of New York. Meanwhile, Karen Page & Ben Urich are still pursuing the Union Allied story. And after saving Karen from a goon attack, Foggy is finally made a member of their secret crusader club. The episode concludes with Matt drowning in a pool of guilt, analyzing his relationship with the man he both owes & resents so much.
Daredevil is the launch point for the Netflix universe of Marvel shows. It stars Charlie Cox, Elden Henson, Deborah Ann Woll, Vincent D’onofrio, Toby Leonard Moore, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Ayelet Zurer, Bob Gunton, & Rosario Dawson.
