In Agents of SHIELD S7E10, Nathaniel Malick recruits a young John Garrett to take on S.H.I.E.L.D. While the team tries to protect Jiaying at the Lighthouse, Jemma fears for Fitz’s life as Daisy tries to bond with her mother. Malick & Garrett are busy stealing Inhuman powers, so Coulson & Gordon infiltrate Afterlife to save the hostages. But they are immediately captured, and Coulson gets a demonstration of Cora’s power & Garrett’s newly acquired teleporting abilities.
Coulson eventually escapes, and along with Mack & YoYo, rescues the remaining Inhumans & takes Cora. Meanwhile, Garrett & Malick attack the Lighthouse, with the latter murdering Jiaying & fleeing before Daisy & May can capture him. Malick & Garrett hijack the Zephyr & abduct Jemma, hoping that she will lead them to Fitz. Unbeknownst to the kidnappers, Deke is also aboard the Zephyr. What’s Malick’s endgame? Your guess is as good as ours.
